Not everyone has the same Opportunities (Sympathy)
The new employee doesn’t really seem to know what they are doing. They struggle to ask others for help.
They may make small mistakes from time to time, but their big mistakes are what gets the bad attention on them. How long will they last in this position? How did they get this job in the first place?
Not everyone has the best chance at getting a job like the ideal candidate. Despite the efforts of some people, their ideal job just requires something they don’t have. Should they be denied the ability to work in those positions because they aren’t exactly perfect?
If you can spare your time to help that person through the rough times, it can only reflect positively on you as a valuable asset in that company. Other will take notice of your caring attitude.
Make the new hire feel like they aren’t wasting theirs or anybody else’s time and give time to receive time.
You struggled at some point as well.
